Obedience is a software company building tools for construction professionals. QuantifyQS is our first product: an AI quantity surveying platform designed with working UK surveyors, for working UK surveyors.
Why we exist
Quantity surveying still runs on spreadsheets. Budgets are reconciled by hand, variations live in inboxes, and when a dispute lands, surveyors lose days reconstructing who approved what and when. We interviewed practising QS professionals and built directly from their answers: the sharpest pains are change tracking, version control and finding approvals during disputes.
What we believe
- One live commercial record. Contracts, budgets, drawings, approvals and changes belong together, updating as the project moves.
- AI assists, humans author. Every AI output shows its source; nothing client-facing ships without your sign-off. Professional judgement stays with the professional.
- Work with Excel, not against it. Your counterparties live in spreadsheets. Imports and exports are first-class, not afterthoughts.
The platform
QuantifyQS pairs an NRM2-structured Bill of Quantities workspace with change control built for dispute-grade record keeping: variations with evidence-carrying approvals, a rolling final account, and a searchable audit trail. UK terminology, UK contracts, and a mixed local-first and hosted architecture with each data location disclosed.
